-New tires 8,000-9,000 miles ago right when i bought it.
-New rotors and brakes less than 9 months ago.
-New alternator 1 year ago.
-New Key Fob casing ( 1 original Lexus not yet installed) + new key fob from local keysmith already installed.

Bought at 217,000 miles currently at 226,000. I cannot officially sell it til mid-late next week when I receive my newer one.
Mechanically this car is awesome. When I bought it, it needed nothing because it was all fixed up by previous owner who happened to also be a mechanic. Updated sensors, tune up, and PLENTY MORE he did and I still have all of his receipts to show it. Although it needed nothing, I don't play around with battery or alternators, so i bought a new alternator and installed about a year ago. I also got new rotors and brakes too, though it wasn't needed. I also did a couple flushes, fuel line being one of them.
I bought this car about a year and a half years ago, because I wasn't driving much as normal and I wanted something cheap for 1-2 years so I could save up and take my time looking for what I wanted. ( no exaggeration my insurance was $155 for 6 months with this old but dependable car)..I wanted a cheap but reliable car and also have nothing that would ever break-down- and this more than got the job done. This vehicle has a ton of miles, but if you know Lexus RX, they last. Especially the one's before year 2000 when they used the highest quality parts. Cosmetically from outside this car sucks, Mechanically this car is awesome. Costmestically in the inside, it's fair other than the very worn out and tears in drivers seat.
This car is ready to rock and roll for a couple years I'd be willing to bet, at least 10,000 to 30,000 miles if I had to guess without nickel and diming someone. I have only put on about 8,000 or so miles myself in the 1.5 years. Either in the city, multiple 2-8 miles drives, and about 20+ round trip drives to the airport. Short distance, long distance, and even in this cold weather it's started fine and driven fine. no problems
I can also vouch that the main things needed, work too: Ice cold A/C. Heater is perfect. All 4 windows go up and down. What more do you want for a used car over 200k miles? Cheap insurance, cheap tabs, it runs and drives fine.
The stuff I do know that doesn't work:
The guy I bought it from said the moonroof doesn't work, it'll open but might get stuck. So I never touched it.
Also, the only mechanically things I know that don't work are: The hatchback works, but sometimes gets stuck and so one has to pull outward before pulling toward. It's not a huge issue. And the back left door needs to be manually locked/unlocked. Also, the glove box has to be closed/slammed harder than normal to shut it...That's it. that's literally 100% of the issues I found over 1.5 years.
I am very firm in the price, $3,500. IF you or your immediate family is military, veteran, police, a teacher, etc, it's $300.00 off. So $3,200 flat. To do everything mentioned above new between him and I is well over $3,500, so consider $3,500 an absolute steal on a mechanically good vehicle. You are welcome to test drive and have it checked out by a mechanic. Remember, you're buying a used car, not a $40,000 new lexus so you can't expect everything to be perfect. But I can furnish my last inspection during my oil change that they found nothing wrong other than new wipers needed. So new wipers in front and rear. I'm not a dealer but I'd offer a warranty it for 7 days for peace of mind. Otherwise it's sold as is.
Lastly, before I bought it in July 2018, I purchased a VIN vehicle history report; I still have this report and can forward to your email if you're interested.. The report will show that it has a pretty great history and was never an auction or accident, never a rebuilt type of vehicle. I'll take a screen shot or two for the photos but the full report is all yours if you want it. As you can tell I did my homework on this vehicle and then afterward still meticulously cared for it as I really do enjoy lexus and as of today i bought a newer one.
Title is clean and clear of course.
I forgot to mention, heated seats and this thing laughs at snow. I upgraded the headlights too to L.E.D. That was the first thing I did, nice bright L.E.D lights at night that supposedly will last years to come.
Pics coming soon: I'll be posting pics tonight or tomorrow when i take them.
Please serious inquiries only I'm firm on the price or will keep this as my second car. Everything I know about this car is above or in the vehicle report. Let me know if you want to see this. I doubt this will last more than 2 weeks on craigslist.
