1962 survivor Studebaker GT Hawk, California-origin with near-zero rust, with a full collection of paper documentation detailing the history of the car. The car has just enough work-required to make it perfect, that I’ve now decided it’s beyond my commitment.
Riviera Blue. candidate for full restoration or drive it as-is. This car is a Beverly Hills, California car, brought to MN in 2017, and has been in dry heated storage every Winter since. The bottom of the car is immaculate with no rust.

Significant and detailed paper history included with the car:
- Studebaker Heaven service records w/pmts.

The story – documented both in email, but also in maintenance slips detailing prior owner/prior owner’s grandfather. This was a one-family car prior to my ownership, and the owner took care of it with Studebaker-focused vendors in California. The prior-owner’s grandfather obtained the car in 1964 from a legal settlement with the Studebaker dealer in Beverly Hills, CA. The car then passed from grandfather to grandson, back to grandfather, then finally back to grandson – and both took great care of it. New (original spec) front springs 3 yrs ago (back to factory spec after an earlier change to lower the front). The significant paper-history that comes with the car includes a lot of details on engine build, maintenance, parts, and registration/ownership history.
Issues:
- There’s a ripple in the front left fender, right at the air vent, which may be worked out of the panel, but it will require fender-off work and paint;
- There’s a smaller ripple in the left-front fender, just at the trim line, and this also likely can be worked out of the panel, but will require fender-off work;
- A small hole in the passenger door (lower right corner) has been filled and painted, but that repair should be redone more-professionally;
- Assorted scrapes and nicks have been patched in matching paint, but the paint is overall good, not great – and the car would need a paint job to be perfect;
- The wheel well trim is good but not perfect – I have replacement NOS purchased at South Bend, but not installed, and will include with the car;
