Cedar Lake Metal Solutions is seeking a reliable, self-motivated, and versatile individual to fill a unique hybrid role. This critical position keeps our operation running smoothly by combining three key areas: Grounds Maintenance, Janitorial Services, and Local Delivery Driving. If you enjoy a job where no two days look exactly the same, like working independently, and prefer a four-day workweek, this is the perfect fit for you.
Key Responsibilities
1. Grounds Maintenance & Machinery Operation
• Maintain the exterior appearance of our facilities, including lawn care, weed whipping, and debris removal.
• Clear snow and manage ice on walkways and driveways during winter months.
• Safely operate a skid loader and other equipment to move materials, clear paths, and handle outdoor tasks.
• Perform basic, routine preventive maintenance on grounds equipment.
2. Janitorial & Interior Care
• Empty trash and recycling bins throughout the facility.
• Restock cleaning and facility supplies as needed.
• Ensure all common areas are neat, orderly, safe, and compliant with company safety guidelines.
3. Delivery Driving & Material Handling
• Safely transport parts and materials to local clients or vendors using company vehicles.
• Assist in loading and unloading delivery vehicles efficiently.
• Check and verify paperwork against delivered goods to ensure total accuracy.
• Provide a polite and professional face for the company during off-site drop-offs.
Qualifications & Requirements
• Valid Driver’s License: A clean driving record is strictly required for insurance clearance.
• Equipment Experience: Skid loader (skid steer) operation experience is strongly encouraged.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly, and spend extended periods standing, walking, bending, or driving.
• Reliability: Strong track record of punctuality and working efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Adaptability: Comfort moving seamlessly between different tasks (e.g., transitioning from driving to cleaning).
