My mission is to develop a teacher-guided, child-centered curriculum that will bring out the creativity, special talents and strengths of the children, individually and collectively, in an academically structured environment. My philosophy is to provide a variety of academic and creative learning experiences in a safe, stimulating environment. It is important to encourage each child to reach their full potential mentally, emotionally, physically, and socially. Each child will have the opportunity to explore the areas of education appropriate for their age and enhance their five senses, therefore, enabling the child to develop a feeling of accomplishment and self-confidence. I provide each child with age-appropriate, hands-on, interactive experiences that stimulate the imagination and promote learning, customized to the child's needs and interests.
Some other features/activities I have to offer include a full wall chalk board at the children level for them to play and learn, a white board for constructive preschool curriculum, visual educational posters, library of books for all ages, padded flooring, and much more. At naptime the children are provided with their own sheeted cot and infants are placed in a separate area in portacribs or bassinets. Infants are giving appropriate holding time throughout the day, as well as, tummy time. They are also always included in our circle time and other activities throughout the day. Babies are held when fed, and I provide Wal-Mart brand formula and baby food if parents choose. For the safety of the children I do not transport. We go outside on a daily basis, weather permitting. We will go on walks, and occasionally go for field trips to Lions Park or Watab waiting pool during the summer, again we walk to these places.
I conduct evening interviews so it does not take away time and attention from the children during the day. This also gives us a chance to get to know each other and I encourage you to bring your little ones and other family members too.
