Rosemary has a sore hoof from an abscess, we bought her this summer with a limp and she continues to limp although it has gotten better. She’s doing better than we thought she would this winter but would still be better for her to be around less cows so she’s doesn’t get pushed from the feeder. She’s lost a little weight. She would suit a family very well that has a barn and a small area for her that won’t require a lot of walking. She has the PERFECT personality for a first time cow owner since she moves slowly and never kicks or pushes due to her sore foot.
Rosemary is A2A2 and on her 2nd lactation, she calved early Sept and is giving 3 gallons a day with once a day milking on alfalfa, hay and a few lbs of grain. She has been with our Galloway bull for 7 weeks now.
