The hay comes off fields that double as pasture. Some years they’re hayed and some years they’re rotationally grazed. Some bales will have some alfalfa, almost all the bales will have some clover mixed in. Some will have reed canary grass.
I’d consider it good quality beef cow hay since it’s the same hay I feed my cows throughout the winter. The calves stay on the cows until March. Cows and calves gain weight through winter on this hay. I don’t feed any silage or supplements, just mineral salt and dry hay. The herd is bale grazed out on the same fields the hay was made on.
