The cart is on two large wheels with two smaller guide/balance wheels. One on the front and one on the back. The cart is about 28 inches long. With the drop leafs down it is about 18 inches wide. With the drop leafs up it is about 30 inches wide. The cart is about 28.5 inches high. This beautiful cart was boughten around 1989 from “Cairon-Fabre Furniture Store” in St. Paul, Minnesota on Rice Street. This store closed in 2010. They most likely got the cart from Montalbana International in Chicago who specialized in hand made imports. (Sticker on the cart bottom)
The cart is vintage mid-century Sorrento, Italian craftsmanship featuring marquetry wood inlay, a brass rim, and a wooden handle with drop leafs.
The drop leafs are designed for expandable serving space. The two level cart has built in metal bottle holders on the bottom level.
Glossy finish. Delicately etched brass and wood handle bar. All from the mid-century era showing ornate and classical aesthetics.
Excellent condition! Stunning matching tray comes with the cart!
