1) collecting water or sap ... these were not used for chemicals and are food grade
2) Floating Dock ... You actually fill them say 1/3 full with water and seal them that way the dock dont float too High
so depending on the weight of dock and hight you desire is how much water you let in the barrels
3) tumblers ... for hops / barley or rocks
4) kids slides
5) barrel racing ... partially fill with sand or water and set up a course for
6) storage ... cut em in half and you have 2 durable storage bins
7) paint ball obstacle course
8) cut top off fill with ice and you have a beverage or keg cooler

They are water tight.
The whole top is NOT removable.They have 2 bung holes with screw in plugs.
