Here we have a nice complete gearcase lower unit from a 1985 Mercury 115 hp inline six outboard with the standard 2 to 1 gears and swept back skeg with the internal speedometer pick up. (standard long shaft length, 20 inch ) I have used this style gearcase on Merc inline sixes from1966 on up thru the late eighties. The housing was in good shape (fresh water), and has been sanded nearly bare, primed, and painted with automotive black urethane with hardener. Looks nice in my opinion. I resealed the gearcase with all new Merc gaskets, o rings, seals, fresh brass insert water pump impellor, and a nice water pump housing. The gears were nice and showed minor rounding on the clutch ramps. Did install a new Merc shift cam to be safe, Filled with fresh Mercury hi performance gear lube. You get all the old parts. Did not have holes in ventilation plate and skeg appeared to not have been welded on. All work done by a Mercury Master tech with many years of experience. Prefer to not ship. Would meet a for sure cash buyer withing 30 miles of St. Cloud. Price is very firm at 500$. (doubt if you could get one resealed for this price locally). Thanks for looking.
